ASPIRE and Stadler Go Together – Electrification of Utah’s Entire Transit Sysem

Transportation Part 4

We will start out with quite a shocking quote and go from there:

“LOGAN — In another step to advance the research of sustainable electrified vehicles, Utah State University is asking state higher education officials to authorize the university to issue up to $9.2 million in revenue bonds to update and expand its Electric Vehicle and Roadway building.
Utah stands to become the “epicenter” of electrified transportation nationally, if not worldwide, according to USU trustee and former Utah Senate President Wayne Niederhauser.
“Utah is in a prime situation with the inland port and other initiatives as well as the Olympics because they’ve got to be zero emissions. This electrification of transportation is a huge deal and Utah can be the epicenter for that and USU is playing a big, big role in it,” Niederhauser said in a recent trustees meeting.” Source

Wow! Did you agree to that? Do you want Utah to be the “epicenter of electrified transportation?” We don’t. We would like a free market and for the people to choose the best, most affordable option. We would like crony capitalism to stop.

ASPIRE

Who is ASPIRE? Let’s get that right from them: “Help us shape the future of electrified transportation!”

That’s a big undertaking, isn’t it? What exactly does “electrified transportation” mean?

It means far more than electric cars, trucks, and trains. Below we will explain how, but before that we will try to shorten an article from Deseret News that breaks down the in-depth beginning.

  1. Dinner takes place between former Senator Jake Anderegg and a distant relative Julius Anderegg, and some others. They discussed different Swiss companies, and which states they were interested in.
  2. “Jake Anderegg, Senate President Wayne Niederhauser, R-Sandy, and House Speaker Greg Hughes, R-Draper, and others eventually traveled to Switzerland where they met billionaire Peter Spuhler, owner of Stadler Rail Group, a major manufacturer of trains worldwide.” A pitch was made: “Utah as a place for expansion-minded Stadler Rail to build its North American headquarters.”
  3. Sweeten the deal with some ideas about “Mountain Accord, a long-range plan for the Wasatch Mountains, including trains between ski resorts and a tunnel connecting canyons”
  4. In 2015 several “stakeholders” went to further discuss: “From the Legislature were Hughes, Anderegg, Senate Majority Whip Stuart Adams, R-Layton, House Assistant Majority Whip Brad Wilson, R-Kaysville, and Sen. Mark Madsen, R-Saratoga Springs, who heads the Utah International Trade Commission.
  5. Utah Transit Authority board members Chris Bleak and Sheldon Killpack, a former state senator, also joined the contingent. But, they didn’t tell their own transit board that they were going, a decision that would further tarnish the transit authority’s reputation. In addition to Hartley, lobbyists Greg Curtis, a former Utah House speaker, and Dave Stewart joined the contingent. All three have done work for UTA.
  6. Some funding: “The transit-oriented Utah 2040 PAC, for which Bleak serves as co-director, put up money for travel. World Trade Center Utah, a nonprofit that promotes Utah business interests, gave $10,000 for three dinner events in Switzerland. Hughes kicked in money from his leadership PAC and some travelers paid their own way.”
  7. Something super suspicious to us and unravels the “oh wow this just happened” narrative to the original meeting is this piece here “As an afterthought, the delegation asked the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, which was now in serious negotiations with Stadler Rail, to send a representative.”
  8. They were introduced to the country’s President-elect Johann Schneider-Ammann.
  9. It is important to note that during this trip GOED (now GOEO) executive director was Val Hale and managing director Theresa Foxley. These names will be coming up in later posts. Super concerning.
  10. 5 days after getting back to Utah, “UTA abruptly canceled a competitive bid Sept. 30, Stadler Rail was bidding to lease space at the Warm Springs FrontRunner maintenance facility.” and “It also announced that Bleak has resigned and that two other board members would also step down, presumably Killpack and Justin Allen, who along with Bleak, runs the Utah 2040 PAC.” They played this off as some other reason but I’ll let you decide.
  11. Anderegg resigned his position shortly after the Salt Lake Tribune made a GRAMA request. He said it was to focus on other things. It appears lobbying may have been his next step.

From the above you get a good idea for how this came about. Sadly, we have come to find that this is common in Utah. Things are not done transparently or even honestly. The people are usually left in the dark and have no idea these things are taking place until whatever project is decided and it’s forced on the public. Taxes and all.

Now, we want to highlight something about Julius Anderegg that we think is important. The below is from a legislative meeting – so this is a recording on file. You can listen here. Below is part of the transcript:

“Julius Anderegg. He is the Swiss Consul General for the Western United States. And today we are going to give him an official citation and recognition here in this body as well as in the Senate. Julius Anderegg is recognized for his many years of service in the area of international financial affairs in banking and diplomacy. His service has spanned from service in Spain, Iraq, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Pakistan as well as service in the United Nations as a delegate. If you would please take a minute with me and welcome him to the chamber this day. Now as part of this we are looking at a potential economic trip to Switzerland to attend an economic forum. Those are still being worked out but we thank you for your time and look forward to a long relationship with Switzerland and the State of Utah.”

The UN will come up later so keep that nugget in the back of your brain.

Our legislature didn’t let time go to waste. They started passing bills to roll out the red carpet for this train agreement. SB125 and SB185 (2023) plus SB189 (2018) all got things moving. SB125 is the big boy for this particular post, to quote: “This bill designates the ASPIRE Engineering Research Center at Utah State University as the lead research center for strategic planning for electrification of transportation infrastructure and requires certain actions.” – how does this line up with Stadler you may ask? See below:

Source

Please understand that SB125 opened Utah’s transit system up to merging with AI and MASSIVE SURVEILLANCE. Private cars are NOT off limits. Please really take that in, understand it, and consider what that means.

This video from ASPIRE is from 2 years ago, if you notice they have bought into the globalist climate change agenda, which usually harms economies and even the environment more than helps. Furthermore they push the “sustainable” agenda and infrastructure. These do not take the People of Utah’s needs or wants into consideration; they are global goals. Worse, they talk about the “smart roadway” that can “charge your car while driving.” This sounds super cool to our tech brothers and sisters, however, as this moves forward we are losing control over our own cars. If there is any chance of a hack or even intentional remote access, imagine what that means? If you decide not to participate in a tyrannical forced lockdown they can shutdown your car. What about if the state comes for your child because you won’t “affirm” their gender confusion brainwashing to mutilate their own body parts? You won’t be able to leave. It can even be something less frightening. What if they decide you have emitted too much carbon this week and shut your car down? What if your social credit score is not up to par? What if you have not updated to more tracking controls? Do you see where this is going? Keep in mind with all of this, our previous blog talking about the “zero fatalities” vision. How are they going to obtain ZERO?

Go learn about Colombia, home to the often credited 15-min city creator Carlos Moreno, “pico y placa” (means peak and plate) driving restriction program. Bogota is the worst, they restrict vehicles based on the last digit of their license plate during peak hours, with restrictions rotating daily and varying by day of the week and time of day. An example:

“Example how to use this, my  registered  license plate ends in the number 5, so if I was driving in Cartagena this week I am restricted to drive on every Tuesdays, in my home city of Medellin I am restricted to drive on every Thursday…and again this schedule will change/rotate after the New Year.”

They used congestion and air quality to push this. Congestion was caused by their own poor planning, which Utah is now doing to itself as well. Air has many issues in Bogota, cars not the only problem, and even with cars it’s more often due to a lack of proper maintenance standards.

Can you imagine not being able to drive to work certain days because of some arbitrary law the legislature, either state or federal or even city/county, pushed and passed?

There is also a push for the green mafia agenda. We hope with Trump in office the Biden regimes push and promotion towards this will slow.

“It’s still early, very early, in terms of our understanding of exactly what’s in the bill,” warned Tallis Blalack, with Utah State University’s ASPIRE Research Center. “And more importantly, how what’s in there is going to be implemented.” Source

Next up: Digital highways/roadways are a goal of the WEFs.

Source

This project appears to be linked to the rewilding system- Defending Utah did a great blog on it that you can read here. Below is a screenshot from 2011 about their desire for high-speed rail in America, and megaregions etc. That of course has evolved into autonomous and electrified transit systems.

In this paper from a student at USU, they go over their concerns about the public accepting this:

“The threat of low public buy-in for ASPIRE technology is one of the most significant concerns facing the system. Low adoption rates or public resistance against the company could lessen ASPIRE’s operational success and funding potential.”

Might it be because the public doesn’t want to be controlled 24/7? Especially when it comes to the right to travel freely. Might it be that people are not excited to sign up for the electric vehicle road usage charge that Utah has passed:

“the number of electric vehicles grows, the Utah Department of Transportation and Division of Motor Vehicles are changing to a per-mile fee as a way for drivers to pay their portion of roadway operations and maintenance.”

It is voluntary for now; it won’t always be. Why are charging stations not acting like gas stations? Where you pay the tax to keep up the roads while fueling or charging your car? There is NO excuse to charge per mile to drive your car. Furthermore, the cost to change out EV batteries is extraordinary. They can range from $5000 up to $20,000 or higher for trucks.

A document we recommend you read from American Transportation Research Institute show how insane this switch is. It needs to be taken seriously. Take a look at the energy needed for Utah.

Keep in mind all of this is to obtain the ultimate goal of autonomous transportation, both globally and nationally. They prefer you to end up on mass transit government/corporation owned systems (P3s essentially and you all know how fond we are of those *fascism*). Below are just some quick screenshots for you to review- this is a topic that will be fleshed out more in our V2X and 5G post.

Furthermore, there is the POWDER wirless project who works with NSF as well. Are ASPIRE and POWDER at all involved? POWDER is nationwide, but you will notce Utah is the largest.

Money Money Money

We’ll just breakdown a few key pieces of funding- there are more but for times sake:

  1. “This month, the Biden-Harris administration, through The U.S. Department of Energy, awarded $7 millionin funding for zero-emission medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle lanes. ASPIRE teams at USU and Purdue University are involved in two of the seven awards.” From 2023 – USU
  2. A Salt Lake project-Wasatch Front Multimodal Corridor Electrification Plan was awarded $1.22 million in funding. The project will leverage real-world results on technologies being evaluated at pilot projects funded by the State of Utah and Rocky Mountain Power. These include projects with the Utah Inland Port Authority on wired and wireless charging solutions for trucks; with Stadler, which is developing a battery-electric train; and with the Utah Transit Authority on multimodal charge management solutions.
  3. “The ASPIRE Engineering Research Center was launched in September 2020 with a 10-year, $50 million grant from the National Science Foundation with its main purpose to support widespread adoption of electrified transportation.” source – Side note here: “The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) was established as a federal agency in 1950, not created by the Rockefeller Foundation, and its mission is to promote science and engineering research and education.“ source – However a counter to that is “The relationship between the Board and the Foundation is distinct among government research agencies. Indeed, the Board’s second Chair, Chester Barnard, president of the Rockefeller Foundation, used to refer to the Board as “this peculiar organization.” The singular partnership between the Board and the Foundation has been largely responsible for creating in the United States what is the world’s most vibrant and fruitful research environment.” Source
  4. “In another step to advance the research of sustainable electrified vehicles, Utah State University is asking state higher education officials to authorize the university to issue up to $9.2 million in revenue bonds to update and expand its Electric Vehicle and Roadway building.”
  5. Oh dear- back to Rockefeller NSF/USU ASPIRE research lab “The Utah State Legislature granted the ASPIRE Engineering Research Center at Utah State University $2.1 million in ongoing funding to serve as Utah’s lead research center for strategic planning for electrified transportation” source
  6. “In 2019, the state provided $3 million in one-time funding to support ASPIRE’s launch, and since that time ASPIRE has raised $58.9 million in federal and industry research support, with an additional $24.6 million expected from NSF in 2025.” – this is critically important to understand as it ties in with the winter games Utah signed on for 2034. Utah needs to get out of those immediately.
  7. The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) approved a $129 million contract with Stadler Rail for 20 new “Stadler Citylink” light rail cars, with options for up to 60 more, to modernize and expand the TRAX light rail system, expected to be in service by 2028.“ Source
  8. “The expansion represents more than a $70 million investment and will double the size of Stadler’s existing facility, adding 245,000 square feet to accommodate two new assembly halls, a welding facility, sandblasting booth, and an innovative train battery charging station. This investment will also boost Stadler’s workforce, with plans to increase the number of employees from 500 to up to 800 over the next three years.” Source
  9. “UIPA awarded Stadler US Inc an annual Property Tax Differential Rebate equivalent to 10% of the assessed property tax, post completion of the development.”
  10. DOE Announces $22M Award to ASPIRE & Partners to ‘Supercharge’ Utah as Regional Electrification Hub” Source

You get the idea- lots of money has been dumped into this, and a lot of people stand to make a lot of money from this. The only possible losers in this scenario are the People. In our opinion, UDOT, UTA, ALL HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AND ANY AND ALL TIES TO TRANSPORTATION need to be audited immediately.

Last but not least this document presented to the legislature deserves its own highlight below:

This is one of the most bureaucratic and un-American things we have ever seen. If this type of partnership does not send every red flag you have up, then there is something wrong. All these groups working together on this project, and all of them tied to global organizations and groups. Please make note of the word “intelligent” there, that is a very alarming word for this type of transportation.

Worse, they are all wrapped up in the UN SDG push, Paris climate agreement, and more green mafia agenda goals:

Did you sign up for this? Did you agree with this? Did you decide to give up your right to privacy and freedom to travel at will in a vehicle of your choice? We did not.

Last but not least PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO FROM WE ARE THE PEOPLE IT IS CRITICAL YOU UNDERSTAND THIS:

https://youtu.be/kAp3d45op78

There is a lot more to this but this should get you started down your own research path where you can decide for yourself if this a good thing, bad thing, or a neutral thing.

The next blog will be on V2X.
